Championship Moves recently took part in the Swan Hill Alcohol Forum to discuss local alcohol-related issues.

Championship Moves recently took part in the Swan Hill Alcohol Forum to discuss local alcohol-related issues and identify ways we can help to promote positive behaviour change amongst the youth in their local community.

Championship Moves presented at the public community forum and discussed what the campaign had done, its successes and how we are able to help at Swan Hill.

Many that attended liked the fresh, engaging way that the campaign still speaks to people, particularly around looking after one’s own mates. “The Championship Moves message about helping out mates in a practical way is something I can easily take back to my workplace and pass on,” an attendee said. As a result, Championship Moves sent out over 25 campaign information packs to local footy clubs, schools, Victoria Police and other organisations in the area.

The other point of view

Telling it like is from the other person’s point of view.

The Other Bloke’s Point Of View video series profiles the experiences of people who can be called upon to get involved if things turn ugly on a night out.

The interviews show how one wrong move can have knock-on effects for more than just the perpetrator and the victim.

The experiences of a barrister, a paramedic, a bar owner, a girlfriend and a bouncer and are available to watch here.
