Surfing Victoria
Championship Moves and Surfing Victoria have teamed up since October 2010 to promote the message that real champions look out for their mates.
Through naming rights of events such as the former Rip Curl Pro Junior and the Rip Curl Pro Trials, we’ve been able to get the Championship Moves message out to the community.
A major part of the Championship Moves campaign has been showing the very real ramifications of alcohol related violence. Together, Championship Moves and Surfing Victoria launched a social media campaign on Facebook and YouTube to continue spreading that message. It included a touching story about young Victorian surfer Ross Dart and his very personal experience as a victim of alcohol related violence. Hear his story here [link to video from CM site].
The crew at Surfing Victoria are excited about helping Championship Moves decrease alcohol related violence in Victoria. Surfing champs Adam Robertson, Jack Perry, Cahill Bell-Warren, Todd Rosewall and Mitch Baker have all come on board the partnership as ambassadors. In a series of short online videos, these champs talk about their surfing careers, why Championship Movies is important to them and their own personal experience of alcohol related violence.
